Anne-Marie Curran

Textiles, felting, collage, upcycled mixed media

Anne-Marie Curran has always been a sewer and crafter. She is passionate about colour and puts this down to her origins in the vibrant, tropical melting pot of Singapore.

Drawing on her Indian-Portuguese heritage, she has an eye for the exotic and uses this in her work with fabric, felt, paper, paint, stitch, collage and up cycled clothing.

Taking her cue from William Morris who believed that one should not have anything in the home that isn’t both useful and beautiful, she enjoys exploring and experimenting with a variety of materials to produce homespun pieces with a surprising twist.
