Her work is eclectic- exploring both functional and purely expressive sculptural ceramics. Her pieces show the marks of the hand building techniques she uses- pinching, coiling, rolling, texturing and sgraffito. Using mixtures of grogged clay decorated with coloured slips and minimal glazes, she explores themes relating to interior and exterior worlds, communication and group dynamics. Her inspirations stem from music, relationships (finding balance), gardening, natural geometry and weathered geological and urban landscapes.
