Ian Price
Oils, Pastels, Charcoal & Cards

Ian takes inspiration from his immediate environment often painting outdoors before developing larger or more abstracted works in the studio. Originally from rural Carmarthenshire, he primarily paints the Severn Estuary from his home in Portishead.
Ian often paints in oils using a limited palette to capture the beauty within this often bleak landscape.
Complementary to this he enjoys the representational challenge of portraiture and has exhibited at the Holburne Portrait Prize in Bath.
Ian has shown work in many galleries and venues in and around Bristol and Bath including the RWA Autumn Exhibition and Bath Society of Artists Open as well as the Mall Galleries in London with the New English Art Club, Royal Institute of Oil Painters, Royal Society of British Artists, Lynn Painter-Stainers Prize and the ING Discerning Eye exhibition.
