Ceramics and Illustration

Jane produces wheel-thrown, functional red earthenware pottery, decorated enthusiastically with slips, oxides and underglaze colours. These are everyday bowls, plates, cups and jugs which bring earthy, outdoor colours and patterns onto the kitchen table. Bold stripes, spots and splatters on strong terracotta forms is the enduring passion behind the work.

Jane has also created a range of quirky cards and zines; these are pen and ink drawings of people as they go about their lives.  Some of these characters have been appearing on pots recently...
